PDMS proud to be shortlisted for the Umbraco Codegarden 2020 Awards
PDMS was delighted to be shortlisted at the Umbraco Codegarden 2020 Awards in the Best Certified Partner Solution category for recognition of our SignedUp Skills employability and skills platform.
Umbraco is a content management platform that is used by web developers and digital agencies to deliver websites. Usually held in Denmark, the annual awards ceremony, which celebrates excellence in the use of Umbraco, was held virtually this year and streamed live on YouTube to entrants around the world.
PDMS has an almost 30-year track record in providing software and digital solutions with offices in Glasgow and the Isle of Man. PDMS’ entry focused on their SignedUp Skills platform, which they showcased through their work with Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).
The Hertfordshire Opportunities Portal (HOP) helps residents to access all the information they need to make informed decisions on career path options including further education, higher education, professional qualifications, work experience and job opportunities.
Our submission focused on utilising Umbraco to feature real-time job, apprenticeship and course data and using the flexibility of the platform to deliver valuable local labour market information. As a result of the platform’s flexibility, Hertfordshire LEP was able to quickly adapt their portal to help address employability issues arising from the Covid-19 pandemic.
Head of SignedUp Skills, Richard Graham commented:
"PDMS is proud to have been an Umbraco Partner for over ten years. It is fantastic that in our first year of entering the awards, we have been shortlisted for our use of Umbraco and the flexibility that it can provide clients. It is also great for Hertfordshire Opportunity Portal to receive recognition for how they have used their Umbraco portal to support employability and skills in their region during COVID-19."
Caroline Cartwright, Skills and Employment Lead, Hertfordshire LEP, said:
“Launched last November, HOP is the result of many months of hard work with our partner, PDMS. It truly is one place for our employers, students and residents to come together to make informed decisions with regard to skills, qualifications, employment opportunities and career pathways. In light of COVID, we are working hard with our partners such as DWP, National Careers Service, apprenticeship providers and employers to ensure HOP becomes an integral support function for those affected in their work or career. The Umbraco platform designed by PDMS enables us to do this quickly and effectively.”
PDMS was honoured to make the final shortlist of three, especially as the awards attracted more entries than ever from all over the world. Congratulations to the category winners True People for their Netherlands Fire Service website!
