A week of award wins for PDMS

PDMS wins Business of the Year 2022 and Catriona and Jayne win Directors of the Year 2022

What a week! We’ve been thrilled that PDMS and the achievements of our team, as well as individuals, have been recognised over the course of the last seven days. 

Institute of Directors Awards 2022

On Friday 11th November, the PDMS Board attended a fabulous black-tie dinner to celebrate the Isle of Man Institute of Directors Awards. The evening celebrated the leadership and entrepreneurial skills from many different organisations across the private and third sector on the Isle of Man. IoD Isle of Man also raised £2,000 on the evening for The Royal British Legion.

We were delighted when not one but two of our Directors won awards at the event. Catriona Watt, our Chief Commercial Officer, picked up the Young Director of the Year Award whilst our Chief Operating Officer, Jayne won the Director of the Year for Small & Medium Enterprise. Cat and Jayne have worked tirelessly over the years to ensure our business runs fairly and smoothly, so we're very proud that they have been recognised in this way.

PDMS has always supported diversity and inclusion in our organisation, and we buck the trend in the tech sector when it comes to females in our Executive team with a representation of 57%.

Isle of Man Awards for Excellence 2022

Fast forward six days and we were putting on our posh evening attire again. This time, we were attending the Media Isle of Man’s Awards for Excellence. The Awards recognise the success of companies, individuals and the private sector and charitable sector. This year’s glamourous awards ceremony was hosted by ex-BBC presenter and journalist Louise Minchin.

PDMS had been shortlisted for the prestigious Business of the Year award category, kindly sponsored by Lexington. This award is the highlight of the night and recognises an Isle of Man business that: 

• Has maintained consistent growth and strong performance
• Understands its customers
• Has an engaged workforce with effective leadership
• Demonstrates effective use of technology to engage with its stakeholders (customers, employees etc.)
• Is continually innovating to support future growth

Despite the tough competition, PDMS was thrilled to win the award! Achieving this accolade is testament to the hard work, commitment and enthusiasm of our team who work hard to deliver digital projects that make a real difference to our clients.
