PDMS joins the Institute of Export & International Trade

We are delighted to join the Institute of Export & International Trade as a gold member 

Established in 1935, the Institute of Export & International Trade is the professional membership body representing and supporting the interests of everyone involved in importing, exporting and international trade. They offer a suite of qualifications and training opportunities and are a leading authority in best practices and competence for businesses trading globally.

PDMS has joined the Institute as part of our commitment to helping UK businesses solve complex paperwork when importing goods to Northern Ireland. Currently, companies moving goods from Great Britain and  Northern Ireland, or importing goods from outside the United Kingdom, have to fill out new paperwork. This is being facilitated by the UK Government with the Trader Support Service (TSS) but this can often be a labour-intensive and manual task.

PDMS has developed a solution to this issue - TraderTap. A digital solution to speed up data entry into the UK Government's Trader Support Service (TSS). TraderTap significantly reduces admin time for hauliers, retailers, manufacturers, and anyone shipping goods to Northern Ireland.

TraderTap is already in use by clients across the UK and is already delivering success for the users. Take Sealey Power Tools, they have been using TraderTap to deal with their backlog, which has created great time savings: 

• Saving two members of staff a minimum of three hours of work a day sorting the ENS entries allowing them to continue with their normal day job  
• For ease, Sealey staff were grouping consignments by the customer however a single ENS might have had three invoices on it, but through the API it is possible to create one ENS per invoice 
• Reducing the equivalent of three full-time members of staff sorting the SDI entries to one person for approximately one hour a day
