Timely Project for PDMSMcGarrigle and Jackson, an architectural practice in Douglas, have implemented a time recording system developed by PDMS. Until recently, architects and technologists recorded time on proforma sheets that were then handed to administrative staff to enter into an application. This approach often lead to delays in the time sheets being handed in which had the knock on effect of a delay in the issuing of bills to clients. Using the new system, the practice's staff can quickly and easily record the amount of time spent on individual pieces of work completed against specific client accounts. The system will significantly enhance the productivity and efficiency of the practice and benefit their clients by ensuring that they are accurately charged for the services they have received. Additional features have also been incorporated including an alert and reminder function to ensure that records are entered and a facility to enter and record expense details against specific client accounts. McGarrigle and Jackson are currently working towards achieving Quality Assurance accreditation and the new system is seen as a positive contribution towards helping them achieve this goal. The project has been partly funded by the Isle of Man Government's Business Support Service and PDMS are currently working on several other projects for local companies supported by this scheme.
