PDMS is on the move, after 13 years in Castletown, we are upping sticks and moving to Douglas. Hopefully, by the time you read this we will be happily settled in to our new building, Global House on the Isle of Man Business Park.

This rather cryptic title is entirely appropriate for this month's article because we're going to dip a toe into the surreal world of quantum computing. I must add at the outset that such toe-dipping requires considerable courage – on the part of both reader and writer.

Having recently been in the unfortunate situation of having lost my wallet I have, as a consequence, had to go through the process of replacing all my Bank Cards. During this unavoidable 'refresh' process I was presented with both the requirement and the opportunity to change and update associated PIN numbers and passwords.
